Common Use

Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, ear infections, urinary tract infections, and skin infections. It is also used in combination therapy to treat Helicobacter pylori, a bacteria associated with stomach ulcers. Amoxicillin works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which leads to bacterial death.

Dosage and Direction

Missed Dose

Overdose

Symptoms of an amoxicillin overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or crystalluria (crystals in the urine). In severe cases, kidney function may be affected. If you suspect an overdose, seek medical help immediately.

Storage
