Gemeenschappelijk gebruik
Doxycycline is een synthetisch, breedspectrum antibioticum dat tot de tetracycline-familie behoort. Het wordt vaak voorgeschreven om een verscheidenheid aan bacteriële infecties te behandelen, waaronder urineweginfecties, acne, gonorroe, chlamydia, parodontitis en huidaandoeningen zoals rosacea-gerelateerde hobbels en laesies.
Dosering en administratie
Dit medicijn moet met voedsel worden ingenomen, samen met een vol glas water om de slokdarmirritatie te minimaliseren. De dagelijkse dosis kan allemaal tegelijk worden genomen of worden opgesplitst in twee doses op een afstand van 12 uur uit elkaar. Overschrijd het voorgeschreven bedrag niet of verleng de behandeling niet na de aanbevolen periode. Sommige merken mogen niet worden gecombineerd met zuivelproducten. Capsules die zijn ontworpen voor vertraagde afgifte moeten geheel worden ingeslikt zonder te pletten of te kauwen. Voor mondelinge suspensies, schud goed en gebruik een goed meetapparaat. Voorzorgsmaatregelen
Doxycycline kan permanente verkleuring van tanden veroorzaken als ze worden gebruikt tijdens tandontwikkeling. Mogelijke bijwerkingen
Sommige bijwerkingen kunnen hoofdpijn, duizeligheid, wazig zien, koorts, koude rillingen, spierpijn, huiduitslag, geelzucht, bleke of gele huid, donkere urine, bovenste buikpijn, verlies van eetlust en gemakkelijk blauwe plekken of bloedingen of bloedingen. Als u ernstige symptomen ervaart, neemt u onmiddellijk contact op met uw zorgverlener.
Drugsinteracties
De absorptie van doxycycline kan worden verminderd als ze worden genomen met antacida die aluminium, magnesium of calcium bevatten.
