Generic Avelox ( Moxifloxacin )
Common Use
Avelox contains the active component Moxifloxacin, which treats bacterial infections. As a quinolone antibiotic, it stops bacterial growth. This medication is effective only against bacterial infections, not viral or fungal conditions.
Dosage and Directions
Take Avelox orally once daily, with or without food, as prescribed. Dosage and treatment duration depend on your medical condition.
- Take at least 4 hours before or 8 hours after consuming magnesium/aluminum-containing products
- The same timing applies for bismuth subsalicylate, sucralfate, iron, and zinc
- These substances may bind with moxifloxacin and reduce absorption
